Desc

K'rai wears his nearly forty Turns the way Ista wears its storms: weathered, but standing. Silver has claimed his temples and is spreading through the rest of his short, finger-raked hair. His dark eyes are watchful and rarely at rest, the eyes of a man who counts dragons, days, and losses, and never quite stops. His face might have been called warm once, and the laugh lines are still there, but the mouth has settled into a firm, level line. By evening a shadow of stubble darkens his jaw. Compact and solid through the shoulders, he carries a rider's economical stillness, always half a breath from moving. He dresses in plain, dark wherhide, unadorned but for the Weyrleader's knots, worn the way other men might wear a debt.
