Description
Solanath stands unusually tall upon long, sturdy legs, rising more than ten feet at the shoulder. There is little low-slung or serpentine about him; strength gathers through his deep chest, broad shoulders, and substantial haunches, giving him the imposing silhouette of some great tawny guardian. Sun-warmed umber covers the breadth of his frame, lightening to tawny sandstone along his muzzle, throat, underbelly, and the long planes of his legs. Deeper brown gathers around his headknobs and spills down his thickly ridged neck before spreading across his shoulders, suggesting the shadowed fullness of a mane. His neck is moderately long and heavily muscled at the base, carrying his broad, gently shaped head with a strong muzzle and prominent, backswept headknobs. Rounded eye ridges and expressive features soften what might otherwise be an intimidating face. His wings are immense, their long spars spreading from powerful shoulders to support broad sails washed in shifting shades of sandstone and warm umber. Made to bear his substantial frame, they lend him a magnificence in flight that his somewhat compact proportions disguise on the ground. By contrast, his tail is notably short, tapering swiftly behind his haunches and lending the rest of him an almost compact appearance.
38'2" long (8'4" of it tail), 66'1" from wingtip to wingtip, 10'4" at the shoulder - tall at the shoulder, standing high on his legs; short in the tail
Mind-voice
Solanath’s voice rolls through the mind in low, velvety rumbles, words separated by comfortable pauses as though each deserves time to settle. When content, a soft vibration runs beneath it, more purr than speech; when worried, that warmth grows heavy and close, circling the same thought until reassurance is given. Only in a crisis does his voice lose its lingering cadence, becoming steady and immediate—still gentle, but carrying the quiet authority of sunlight breaking through cloud.
